ABA business consulting
Run your agency like someone who's done it.
Practical help for ABA agency owners and BCBAs starting out: rates and pay, billing, staffing, and the systems that keep it all running. From an owner who deals with all of it every week.
Medicaid and commercial payers. In-home services. Real numbers, not theory.

Why work with me
I'm not coaching from the sidelines. I run an agency.
I'm Dr. Angela Hess, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA. I own an in-home ABA agency in Maryland that bills Medicaid and commercial insurance. I've built its pay scale, revenue cycle, payroll, hiring and supervision systems myself, and I fix them when they break.
I set those systems up the way an organizational behavior management (OBM) practitioner would: clear targets, simple data, and feedback that changes what people do. You get advice that's already been tested on a real caseload and a real payroll.

Questions owners ask
Who is consulting for?
ABA agency owners, clinical directors, and BCBAs thinking about starting an agency. Whether you have two RBTs or fifty, the questions about rates, pay, billing and staffing tend to be the same.
Do you work with agencies outside Maryland?
Yes. Most of the work, like pay scales, margins, billing workflows and supervision systems, applies anywhere. For startup questions I'll walk you through the overall sequence, and you'll confirm your state's Medicaid and licensing rules where you practice.
Is my agency's information kept private?
Yes. Your rates, wages and other business information stay confidential, and I never share one client's information with another.
Do consulting sessions earn CEUs or PDUs?
No. Consulting is business guidance, not a continuing education event, so it doesn't earn CEUs for BCBAs or PDUs for RBTs. For RBT PDUs, see Whole School.
Is this legal, tax or accounting advice?
No. It's practical business guidance from an agency owner. For legal, tax and accounting decisions, work with an attorney or CPA. I'm happy to help you figure out what to ask them.
How do I pay?
After your free call you'll get a short engagement letter and an invoice. Hourly time and blocks are prepaid.
